Who runs this site
This site is operated by Consistent Solutions. We put it together because clearing out a house after a death or a move is hard to plan from scratch, and most of what’s online is written for some other city. The guides here cover what’s specific to Dane County: where donations go, what the landfill takes, how Wisconsin probate affects the timing, and what cleanouts tend to cost.
We don’t send crews, own trucks, or haul anything ourselves. We don’t hold contractor licenses or insurance for cleanout work, because we don’t do cleanout work.
What happens when you call
- You call (608) 925-3994 or send a short request from the contact page.
- We ask a few questions: which town the property is in, roughly how full it is, and when it needs to be empty.
- With your okay, we pass your name, number and those details to an independent cleanout company that serves your area.
- That company contacts you, looks at the property, and gives you its own quote. You decide whether to hire them. There’s no charge to you from us, and no obligation.
How we get paid
Local cleanout companies may pay us for referrals or advertising. That doesn’t change what you pay them, and it doesn’t mean we’ve inspected their work. Treat any company we connect you with the way you’d treat one you found yourself: ask for a written quote and proof of insurance, and ask how they handle donations and disposal.
